Brides Magazine required an online solution for the annual Dream Dress competition.
After consulting with the client, we developed a website to showcase the contestant entries, provided a voting environment as well as integrated social networking services.
BRIDES OPERATION DREAM DRESS
Vincent created a microsite for a new project at Brides magazine that started as a small-scale solution for hosting a contest and turned into an annual tentpole for the brand. The initial scope was just to deliver the microsite, but he provided so much more than that. With limited design and tech resources on our end, he was a phenomenal sounding board for building our business plan and figuring out the best ways to achieve our goals. No matter what we threw his way, he went above and beyond and always provided us with options and advice. Vincent was a key player in making our launch a success and became our go-to vendor for any upcoming projects since he and his team hit all of our deadlines and were extremely easy to work with.

"Nandi Fernandez of Miami was crowned the winner of this year's Brides magazine's Operation Dream Dress competition today on "Good Morning America," where her winning dress was revealed for the first time live."
Synopsis: Contestants were invited to submit a sketch of a wedding dress that illustrated this year’s “artful romance” theme. After careful thought and deliberation, Brides editors narrowed the field from hundreds of electronic entries to the top 24 entrants. The selected photos were then posted online on custom designer landing pages, and opened to Brides Magazine readers coast-to-coast for voting. The winning dress was featured on the July 2011 cover of BRIDES magazine.
It was a pleasure to work with the team at Brides on this very exciting and creative online contest. UmbraSolutions™ designed and maintained the contest for Brides Magazine from 2009 - 2011.
